Two species, having long Z4 and Z5, are discriminated by comparison with dorsal setae.

1. The specimen maybe Scapulaseius okinawanus (オキナワカブリダニ) if dorsal seta Z4 is shorter than half of Z5.

2. The specimen maybe Scapulaseius oguroi (キタカブリダニ) if Z4 is longer than half of Z5.
